Swift Skin & Wound 2
A new age of digital wound care at your fingertips
Swift Skin & Wound 2 is an AI-powered wound care platform used by healthcare teams to capture, measure, and monitor wounds more accurately. As Lead Product Designer, I led the redesign of the mobile and desktop experience, creating a more intuitive and accessible platform that helped clinicians move through assessments and documentation more efficiently in fast-paced care environments.
Problem
Slow, inconsistent, and heavily manual wound care documentation
Wound care documentation is often slow, inconsistent, and heavily manual. Clinicians are required to balance detailed documentation with patient care, often using outdated tools and fragmented workflows that create unnecessary friction throughout the assessment process.
Swift Medical set out to improve this experience by creating a smarter, more connected platform that could reduce documentation burden while improving accuracy and consistency.
Solution
A cleaner, faster product experience designed around clinical realities
I led the redesign of Swift Skin & Wound 2 from a UX and product design perspective, working closely with clinicians, developers, and stakeholders throughout the process.
The new experience focused on simplifying wound documentation, improving patient management workflows, and making the AI imaging tools easier and faster to use in real clinical settings. Through user interviews, workflow testing, and accessibility reviews, I helped shape a cleaner and more streamlined product experience designed around the realities of modern healthcare environments.
Impact
More efficient wound care workflows across North America
The redesigned platform helped support a more efficient and scalable wound care experience across thousands of healthcare facilities throughout North America. Swift Medical’s technology has now powered more than 62 million wound assessments and has demonstrated measurable clinical impact, including 35% faster healing, 79% faster wound assessments, and a 15% reduction in wound-related hospitalizations.
The improved product experience helped clinicians complete documentation more efficiently while supporting better patient outcomes overall.
