World Vision Canada is one of the country’s largest humanitarian organizations focused on global poverty relief, child sponsorship, emergency response, and community development. As Lead UX/UI Designer for donor acquisition and engagement, I worked across consumer-facing digital experiences to improve usability, donation flows, and donor conversion performance.
Problem
Donation journeys needed to become clearer, faster, and more compelling
The organization needed to improve digital engagement and make online donation experiences clearer, faster, and more emotionally compelling for supporters.
Existing donation flows and user journeys created friction throughout the conversion process, limiting donor engagement opportunities and long-term retention.
Solution
Simpler donation flows supported by stronger storytelling and clearer UX
I redesigned key consumer-facing experiences with a focus on simplifying donation journeys, improving storytelling, and increasing clarity throughout the user experience.
This included UX improvements to donation flows, landing pages, campaign experiences, and engagement touchpoints designed to better connect donors with the organization’s global impact initiatives.

The improved digital experiences supported stronger donor engagement and helped optimize online fundraising performance for one of Canada’s top-rated international charities.
World Vision Canada’s programs now reach more than 10.3 million people annually across 55 countries, with nearly $380 million invested into global programs and humanitarian initiatives. The organization also maintains a top-tier Charity Intelligence rating and directs approximately 85% of funding directly toward programs supporting children and families worldwide.
